Enerpower and Elgin Partnership
Enerpower powered by Greenvolt, a leading renewable energy company, is proud to announce the commencing of a landmark project with Elgin Energy. This partnership will see the installation of 94MW of solar energy across a number of strategic sites, significantly advancing Ireland’s commitment to sustainable energy.
Breaking Ground
The first site at LISS broke ground during the month of May 24, with three additional sites beginning construction simultaneously.
Pioneering Renewable Energy
This ambitious project is a testament to Elgin Energys commitment to driving the transition to renewable energy. With the combination of 94MW, these installations are expected to produce enough electricity to power approximately 40,000 homes annually, reducing carbon emissions by 54,000 tonnes each year.
Strategic Rollout
The rollout commenced with the Liss site, setting the stage for the subsequent developments. The other three sites, will run concurrently, are selected to maximise efficiency and output, ensuring a steady progression of the overall project.
37MW Site at Pickering Forest Signed
As of the end of July the fourth contract for a 37MW solar farm is signed and due to commense works in August.
A Vision for a Sustainable Future
Owen Power, CEO of Enerpower powered by Greenvolt, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating; “This partnership with Elgin Energy marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide sustainable and reliable energy solutions. The scale of this project underscores our commitment to renewable energy and the positive impact it will have on the environment and local communities.”
Elgin Energy’s Commitment
Elgin Energy, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, brings extensive knowledge of solar as a solution. The construction and operation of these solar sites will create numerous job opportunities and contribute to the local economy. Also, the environmental benefits align with the national and global efforts to reduce the reliance on fossil fuel and take Ireland one step closer to carbon neutral by 2030.
